Pre-poo and the significance it plays in our hair regime

Pre-poo is an act of preparing your crown for wash day. You know how sometimes products strip off the natural oils out of our hair well, it acts as a defense. It protects your hair from getting damaged. Not only that pre-pooing nourishes the hair.
Depending on the length and texture of your hair, shampooing and conditioning can be a workout in itself. Incorporating a pre-shampoo routine might seem like more work — but it’s worth the extra effort.

Pre-pooing is the process of applying a treatment to your hair before the actual shampoo process. The treatment provides your hair with a protective layer. This is helpful because shampooing can strip moisture from the hair, and applying a conditioner after shampooing isn’t always enough to restore lost moisture.
I recently started implementing it into my wash day routine and man I can already tell the difference it makes. Pre-poo makes wash day more endurable, it makes the whole detangling process much easier and shorter. The product easily melts into our knots making detangling effortless.

Regardless of the product, you can pre-poo as often as needed based on the overall condition of your hair. I love how convenient it is, not to mention the versatility of the products. One can easily use some aloe vera gel from the garden, some coconut oil, a good hair oil or even a pre-poo treatment.
